I have tried so many gluten free items over the past 11 years that I can’t believe how much food I have tried. I started my gluten free journey making most things from scratch because as you can probably imagine, there wasn’t a whole lot you could purchase. Then it was where would you purchase these items from. Back then you had lots of stores scared to take a chance on stocking anything with the fear of it wasting away off their shelves.
Now I feel like a kid in a candy store. Some stores have literally brought me to tears just standing in the isles needing nothing, but being completely overwhelmed that if I did they had me. Stores like Kroger, Whole Foods, and Wegmans give me the misty eyed feeling. I know as long as I have one of those around me I have a security blanket nearby.
Wegmans has probably impressed me the most with their own line of items that are pretty tasty. Just dreaming of their corn bread. My favorite food this week has to be the Mariposa gluten free croissants. They are out of this world! With those by my side I can conquer anything. They are flaky, buttery, and absolute heaven. Normally it doesn’t happen, but they look better than the picture. I give them an air hug just for putting in the effort and making a great product.
